Yes, the "professionals" cant seem to see outside the box. Hard to find one with alternative consciousness, but when one does it is such a relief. I had similar encounters trying to get chronic fatigue diagnosed till I found an alternative specialist - he was awesome!
It is very sad about the barriers. Hopefully, with time, things will change.
To be excluded, to only things in average and numbers is one of the hard thing in society. Everyone a number representing it's type, anything outside you can ignore. Sad are examples.
